St Dogmaels (Llandudoch) sits on the Pembrokeshire bank of the River Teifi, and the town of Cardigan (Aberteifi) is just across the river in Ceredigion. The two are close enough that most visitors treat them as one base: St Dogmaels for abbey, mill and quiet lanes, Cardigan for a wider choice of shops, cafes and restaurants.
Getting between the two
The two are joined by the bridge over the Teifi, so the journey is short whether you walk, cycle or drive. See getting here for travel information.
Down the estuary
Following the river downstream leads to the estuary mouth and Poppit Sands, where the Teifi meets Cardigan Bay. The estuary is also a good place for wildlife.
Watch: along the estuary to Rose Cottage
